Teton Launches AI-based E-Call system to give care teams more context when residents ask for help
PR Newswire
COPENHAGEN, Denmark and LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15, 2026
At the first community to use Teton E-Call, caregivers accepted requests in a median of 51 seconds, and four months of data revealed when and where care demand concentrated
COPENHAGEN, Denmark and LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Teton has announced an AI-based resident-call solution, Teton E-Call, that gives care teams more context when a resident asks for help and creates a record communities can use to improve staffing and care plans.

At Wynwood House at State College, part of Aquinas Senior Living, 37 residents used Teton E-Call to request help 6,396 times between May 1 and August 31, 2026. Caregivers accepted calls in a median of 51 seconds. The data also showed that nearly 30% of calls arrived between 7 p.m. and midnight and that a small group of residents generated most requests, giving community leaders a clearer view of evening staffing needs and opportunities to revisit individual care plans.
Teton E-Call runs through the Teton platform already used by staff. A caregiver can see who is calling, where the resident is and, where Teton’s monitoring capabilities are enabled, what was happening in the room when the resident pressed the button. Staff can claim the request, coordinate the response and document the assistance in one workflow.
“Care teams have traditionally entered a room knowing only that someone pressed a button. Teton E-Call gives them useful context before they arrive and creates a record that can reveal patterns in demand. At Wynwood House, that record showed when calls peaked and which residents would benefit from proactive care, so the team could plan for those needs ahead of time,” said Kim Elliott, Chief Clinical Advisor at Teton.
How Teton E-Call works
Residents request routine or urgent help with a pendant or wristband. The request appears in Teton Alerts, the same app staff use for other care workflows. A caregiver claims it with one tap, which lets the rest of the team know the call is being handled. Staff can then coordinate the response, document the assistance provided and review request patterns over time.
Where Teton’s monitoring capabilities are enabled, staff can receive additional context about the resident before entering the room. This connects resident calls with fall management, staff communication and other care workflows in a single system.
What the Wynwood House data shows
Wynwood House began using a beta version of Teton E-Call on April 22, 2026. The figures below cover the first four full months of use and the 37 residents who received a call button.
Between May 1 and August 31, 37 residents used Teton E-Call to request help 6,396 times. This usage demonstrates strong adoption while offering operators key insights into care demand:
- Concentrated Demand: Just seven residents accounted for roughly two-thirds of all calls, and ten residents represented 80%, prompting care teams to re-evaluate and adjust individual care plans.
- Peak Evening Hours: Nearly 30% of all calls occurred between 7 p.m. and midnight, helping leadership optimize evening staffing schedules.
- Night-Shift Priorities: Toileting was the most frequent request overnight, accounting for 53% of documented night-shift calls, giving staff essential context to prioritize urgent needs.
- Reliable Response Workflow: Every call in the period was resolved in the app, and the median time from a resident pressing the button to a caregiver accepting the request was 51 seconds. If no caregiver accepts a request within 30 seconds, Teton’s E-Call alerts the team again so the call remains visible.
“Every team here would have told you the evenings were busy, but it was difficult to pinpoint exactly why,” said Brittany Selfridge, Regional Director of Operations at Wynwood House (Aquinas Senior Living). “With Teton E-Call, we can see clear patterns. A resident calling several times a night may be telling us something about their care plan, and we can act on that instead of answering the same call again and again.”

About the data
Figures cover May 1 through August 31, 2026, at Wynwood House at State College and include 37 residents issued a Teton E-Call button. “Accepted” means a caregiver claimed the request in Teton Alerts; it does not mean the caregiver had reached the resident. “Closed” means a staff member closed the call in the app after responding. Reason categories come from roughly 13% of calls with a logged reason after that feature became available in June 2026.
